Margaret Koch, BS, Executive Director

Margaret has a deep understanding and passionate commitment to the Healing Garden which stems from a long and active role as an officer on the Board of Directors. She brings great enthusiasm and expertise to implement the strategic plans for expanding The Garden to include all those affected by cancer, and those interested in learning to live well. She previously served as the Manager of Cancer Services at the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital-Bethke, following many years in clinical trials research in the field of oncology. Maddie Phadke, MBA Director of Development

Maddie has more than a decade of experience in non profit fundraising, development and event management.  Prior to joining the Healing Garden she was Director of Development at The Nature Connection, in Concord, Ma,  she served as the Director at The Sustainable Business Network of MA, based in Cambridge, MA, where she led the corporate sponsorship program, expanded foundation support, and coordinated large-scale events including international conferences and The Boston Local Food Festival.  Maddie has a B.A. in Economics from Fergusson in India and an MBA in Marketing. Brianne Carter, LICSW, MTS, OSW-C, Co-Director of Integrative Care

Brianne brings an expansive breadth of experience and expertise to help support our growing client community and foster the expansion of our remarkable programs and therapeutic services. Following a Masters Degree in Theology from Harvard and a Masters in Social Work from Smith School for Social Work, Brianne worked in community mental health, Emerson Hospital, and the Mass General Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital-Bethke. Christine Zinke, LICSW,  Co-Director of Integrative Care

Christine comes to The Healing Garden with extensive experience in group, individual, family and couples therapy for adults and adolescents. She brings compassion and empathy to her mindful work with clients.  Along with this she is a Level 2 Shamanic Reiki practitioner. In the past she served as the Program Director for The Renfrew Women’s Mental Health Center of New Jersey.  Christine@HealingGardenSupport.org

Alison Peterson, BS, Business Manager

Alison joined The Healing Garden in January 2013. For the past decade, she has been a volunteer board member for several nonprofits — including the Arlington Education Foundation and John A. Bishop Parent Teacher Organization. Her career spans from working as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young to serving as the treasurer for several political campaigns in Massachusetts; and she is thrilled that it has ultimately brought her to work at The Healing Garden. Cancer care coordinator Kelly

Kelly Marchand, BS, Executive Assistant and Care Coordinator

Kelly joined the Healing Garden in June 2015. She is our primary contact and liaison for our clients and therapists, providing insight into our programs and services, schedules appointments and manages the myriad of activities and operations on a daily basis.   Kelly’s warm and gentle demeanor makes everyone feel welcome at the Healing Garden. Rachel Lucas, Public Relations & Marketing

Rachel is a public relations and marketing professional with over 20 years of industry experience.  Rachel honed her skills at some of Boston’s leading public relations agencies and currently works with clients as a freelancer under her banner, Rachel Lucas PR.  She has been privileged to work with clients in industries ranging from arts & culture, to hospitality, fashion, real estate, health and fitness and food.  Clients have included small start-ups and large corporations with a special focus on non-profits.   rachel@rlucaspr.com

 

Max Roberts, Expressive Arts Therapy Intern

Max is pleased to join the Healing Garden as a clinical intern from September of 2018 through May of 2019. Max is a master’s student at Lesley University studying clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in art therapy. He completed his prior clinical internship at McLean Hospital’s OCD Institute, and has worked at MetroWest Medical Center’s adult inpatient mental health facility. Max seeks to compassionately support those he has the privilege of working with, through using a creative, values-driven, strengths-based approach to art therapy and counseling.
