Art has the power to move us, to calm us, and to connect us to what’s most alive within. Inspired by the book, Your Brain on Art by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross, this program invites you to experience how both witnessing and making art can calm the mind, lift the spirit, and reconnect you to yourself and others. Together, we’ll experience different forms of art and simply notice how they make us feel. Then we’ll respond in our own way: with words, color, gesture, or silence. We’ll practice slowing down, listening deeply, and letting art remind us that we are more than our relationship with cancer.
You don’t need to be an artist — only open to curiosity, reflection, and connection.
Open to clients, caregivers and bereaved members. Free program with optional donations accepted at registration.
This program is being offered with two options – Virtual Only (1/29/26) and In person Only (2/25/26).
