Dr. Ting Bao will present current research on evidence-based integrative approaches with a focus on acupuncture and yoga for symptom management. The presentation will include information on managing treatment side effects such as chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Bao will also discuss ongoing clinical trials at the Zakim Center that are open to eligible patients.

Dr. Bao is the Co-Director of the Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She is a board-certified breast medical oncologist and medical acupuncturist, and integrative medicine physician. She has conducted a number of clinical trials that examine the safety, effectiveness, and underlying mechanisms of acupuncture and yoga to improve cancer patients’ quality of life and to address treatment- and disease-related symptoms.
