Returning for a 2nd series!
This four-week spring series will explore accessible and mindful movement with upbeat music to improve mood, increase energy, and unlock ease and creativity. This program is rooted in the science of neuroplasticity, the capacity of the brain and central nervous system to change. Other benefits of this practice include increased range of motion and joint mobility, spinal flexibility, balance and coordination, and spatial awareness. We will reflect on our movement through visual arts and writing. Join us in the Healing Playground to feel a sense of grounding, nourishment, and expansion.
Open to clients, caregivers and bereaved members. Free program with optional donation. This program will take place at the Healing Garden.
*This class is offered as a series, but you are welcome to drop in for a session if you are unable to join for the entire series.
Norie Mozzone, Clinical Intern
Norie is in her final year of pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Lesley University with a specialization in expressive arts therapies. Using a person-centered, holistic approach, Norie brings a blend of somatic practices, the arts, and mindfulness through the Buddhist tradition to cultivate awareness and expression of one’s inner landscape. Norie emphasizes a collaborative approach with a commitment to honoring everyone’s stories and offers an opportunity to recognize and build on their own resources and strengths. At her previous internship, Norie continued to learn how to show up in the present moment as she supported people living with dementia. Prior to this path, Norie spent 25 years in the non-profit sector in fundraising and program management. Norie is honored and grateful for her opportunity at The Healing Garden.
