Cancer Recovery and Wellness: What Medical Trauma and Avoidance Can Teach Us About Mental Health

Life after cancer treatment can bring a wide range of difficult emotions. For many, the transition to post-treatment life involves processing the impact cancer has had on their lives, including finding meaning in the experience and coping with aspects of medical trauma. By discussing what we know about emotion, memory, and engaging in supportive care, Dr. Sannes will explore why acknowledging our tendency to avoid difficult emotions can benefit our mental health and overall well-being.

Open to clients and caregivers.  Free program with optional donations accepted at registration.  This program will take place on zoom.
