This fun, accessible, interactive, drum circle will inspire your creativity, stimulate your senses and lift your spirits. Even if you think you don’t have rhythm, you will discover that you do! So, try something new or drum again, and join us!
No experience necessary. Drums and percussion instruments provided.
Open to Healing Garden clients, caregivers and bereaved members. Free program with optional donations accepted at registration.
Program will be held outside at the Healing Garden’s new labyrinth (or inside in the project room in the event of inclement weather).
Facilitators
Monique Morimoto and Stephen Whitney founded SoulWorks Rhythm in 2012 to bring the joy and benefits of group drumming to seniors, people with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other special needs as well as work with teams and local communities.
Stephen is an accomplished percussionist whose salsa band, Vibra Tropical gets people grooving! Monique is an ordained spiritual teacher and longtime coach, nonprofit consultant and facilitator whose passion is to guide people to discover, embrace and manifest their potential.
This program is supported in part by generous funding from the Berlin, Fitchburg, Gardner, Leominster, Shirley, Sterling, Stow, Townsend and Westford Cultural Councils, local agencies that are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
