Trees symbolize wisdom, strength, growth, and renewal, and we can learn much about weathering the seasons of our own lives, simply by observing the way trees grow and live.
“From little seeds grow mighty trees.” – unknown.
During this relaxing 2-hour workshop, we’ll consider the wisdom of trees as we use simple watercolor techniques to create a unique, tree-themed piece. This workshop is process-focused and no special skills or ‘art’ experience is required.
This program will meet on-site at the Healing Garden, which is open to Healing Garden clients. Registration is required and space is limited for this free program. Optional donations are accepted.
About the Facilitator: A metastatic cancer survivor since 2011, Karen Arsenault has found the creative process invaluable in navigating the fear and uncertainty of the cancer journey. Through the many expressive arts workshops she has participated in, Karen developed a passion for watercolors and now gives back by developing and facilitating her own Creative Mindfulness workshops and donating her art in several forms to The Healing Garden.
This program is supported in part by generous funding from the Ayer, Carlisle, Concord, Groton, Harvard, Lunenburg, and Sudbury Cultural Councils, local agencies that are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
