Painting with watercolors can be meditative, peaceful, and calming! During this 2-hour workshop, we’ll explore the world of free-flowing watercolors while learning some basic washes and techniques that will enable you to enjoy them on your own. Whether you have no experience with watercolors or would like to brush up on basic skills and perhaps learn something new, this program is for you.
As you follow along, this workshop will help you learn about:
• Basic Watercolor Supplies
• Basic Washes & Techniques
• Watercolors as a mindfulness tool
Registration is required and space is limited. Open to Healing Garden clients. This program will meet on-site at the Healing Garden.
Led by Karen Arsenault
About the Facilitator: A metastatic cancer survivor since 2011, Karen Arsenault has found the creative process invaluable in navigating the fear and uncertainty of the cancer journey. Through the many expressive arts workshops she has participated in, Karen developed a passion for watercolors and now gives back by developing and facilitating her own Creative Mindfulness workshops and donating her art in several forms to The Healing Garden.
This program is supported in part by generous funding from the Ayer, Carlisle, Concord, Groton, Harvard, Lunenburg, and Sudbury Cultural Councils, local agencies that are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
