Nothing quite screams “Adulting” like navigating cancer on top of everything else going on in your life and in the world. While you’re juggling endless appointments, treatments, side effects, and feelings of uncertainty, grief, and loneliness, it can be difficult to remember when this wasn’t your life.
Join us for a Saturday where you get to return to being a little kid, just for a few hours. Clinical intern Norie Mozzone will take you “Back to Kindergarten.” Come put down your adult worries and be taken care of at The Healing Garden. We will spend a few hours traveling through time to allow nostalgia to nurture us into a space of community, and connection. Enjoy returning to childhood rituals for fun and relaxation.
Complementary lunch will be provided.
Open to Healing Garden clients aged 50 and under. Registration required, free program with optional donations accepted at registration. This program will take place in-person at the Healing Garden.
Norie Mozzone, Clinical Intern
Norie is in her final year of pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Lesley University with a specialization in expressive arts therapies. Using a person-centered, holistic approach, Norie brings a blend of somatic practices, the arts, and mindfulness through the Buddhist tradition to cultivate awareness and expression of one’s inner landscape. Norie emphasizes a collaborative approach with a commitment to honoring everyone’s stories and offers an opportunity to recognize and build on their own resources and strengths. At her previous internship, Norie continued to learn how to show up in the present moment as she supported people living with dementia. Prior to this path, Norie spent 25 years in the non-profit sector in fundraising and program management. Norie is honored and grateful for her opportunity at The Healing Garden.
