Think meditation is only sitting on a cushion in silence following your breath? Nope. There are many doorways into a state of awareness, which is what we are seeking to cultivate when we choose to meditate. Give yourself time to learn a new way to become more attuned to the present moment. In this program we will explore the senses as a natural and instinctual path of meditation that may allow us to sense relaxation and restoration. Free program with optional donations accepted at registration. Open to clients, caregivers, and bereaved.
This program will meet Virtually.
Norie Mozzone, Clinical Intern
Norie is in her final year of pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Lesley University with a specialization in expressive arts therapies. Using a person-centered, holistic approach, Norie brings a blend of somatic practices, the arts, and mindfulness through the Buddhist tradition to cultivate awareness and expression of one’s inner landscape. Norie emphasizes a collaborative approach with a commitment to honoring everyone’s stories and offers an opportunity to recognize and build on their own resources and strengths. At her previous internship, Norie continued to learn how to show up in the present moment as she supported people living with dementia. Prior to this path, Norie spent 25 years in the non-profit sector in fundraising and program management. Norie is honored and grateful for her opportunity at The Healing Garden. You may reach her at norie@thehealinggardensupport.org.
