If you’ve ever experienced being so immersed in a creative activity that you’ve lost track of time, then you’ve experienced Creative Mindfulness! This happens because creative activities such as art-making, crafting, and gardening ease us into a state of mindfulness by enhancing our capacity for focus, concentration, inner peace, and calm. Regularly spending time in a mindful state has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, help us sleep better, and promote a general sense of wellbeing. During this 10-week workshop series, we’ll use watercolors in both conventional and non-conventional ways and other mediums to relax and explore the basic principles of Creative Mindfulness. We’ll also look at ways to make Creative Mindfulness a regular self-care habit. Whether you’re new to Creative Mindfulness or have attended Karen’s workshops in the past, this summer series has something for you. Experience with watercolors is not necessary and each standalone session will focus on a different idea and activity. Participants need not attend all sessions to participate, so don’t let summer holiday plans keep you from joining us. Registration is required and space is limited.
Healing Garden Clients Only. Free Program, $10 optional donation accepted.
