Strength training is marked as one of the best things you can do for your body during or after cancer treatment. This program aims to educate along with motivate.
This program will include:
- An initial assessment, sent via email to fill out and return ahead of time for review.
- The first session will be basics of safe and effective fitness and what that means, then workouts that build upon each week.
- As needed 15-minute check-ins on a particular day for anyone with specific questions and requests.
- Ongoing homework for people to do on their own and can be individualized for safety.
- An end assessment that looks at specific gains.
Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm. 6-week fitness program on Zoom.
Open to clients. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Clients are encouraged to commit to all 6 sessions. Free Program with optional donations accepted.
What you will need:
3 or 5 lb. hand weights, set of resistance bands, yoga mat, chair, water bottle, space to move around easily
Dress in comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch and bend.
