During this session, you will learn about common barriers to patient education on sexual changes, sexual and emotional health changes for women with cancer, factors impacting sexual health due to diagnosis and treatment as well as strategies to help cope.
Led by Cristina Pozo-Kaderman, PhD. Dr. Pozo-Kaderman is the Director of the Young Adult Program (YAP) and Director of Interprofessional Education in the Department of Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute with a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. She obtained her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Miami, completed her internship at Weill Cornell Medical College, her fellowship in psycho-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and training in sex therapy. Dr. Pozo-Kaderman has spent over 30 years working as a clinician, administrator, and educator in the field of psychosocial oncology. She has mentored and supervised trainees for over 30 years with many going on to have distinguished careers in psychosocial oncology. She has served on numerous professional and community organization advisory boards with a commitment to serve and provide community education and support.
