This group will explore ways to connect to and free our authentic voice through music therapy and sound healing techniques, including toning, vocal improvisation, mantra, medicine melodies, chanting, songwriting, and singing familiar songs. We will awaken to the power of our voices as instruments of healing and use our voices in ways that can help with pain management, reduce stress and anxiety, energize the body, improve breathing and respiratory function, increase mental clarity and brain functioning, improve mood, balance the nervous system, transform consciousness and emotions, connect to our spirit, stimulate self-growth and self-awareness, and encourage self-expression. No prior musical or vocal training necessary to engage in music therapy.
Virtual class via Zoom, Thursdays, 11:15 am-12:45 pm.
