Legacy Projects can remind people with cancer that they are more than just the illness they battle. Creating a legacy project can provide shared beautiful moments in the midst of trying times. This three-part workshop series is about capturing what is and has been most significant in your life in a creative project, in a modality of your choice, to share with those you love. Session one introduces the concept of legacy projects and describes the enormous spectrum of possible projects [from scrapbooks to poetry to video messages to recipe books, to name a few]. Participants will be guided through research-based “Dignity Therapy” questions to stimulate their thoughts about what they want their project to capture. The second session will be a time for participants to share their ideas, discuss what the process has been like for them, get input from others and determine what support they might need to complete their project. [Individual support will be available in between sessions to those who need assistance.] The final session will be an opportunity to share completed projects. Participants are encouraged to commit to all three sessions. Healing Garden Clients Only. This class will meet via Zoom. Free program.
