Breath is our link to life. Our senses provide us with a multitude of information about our environment and our lived experience. Did you also know that our breath and senses can be key to promoting relaxation, resetting the nervous system, and allowing mindful presence? Join Renée LaFountain for this 1-hour online workshop. In this class, you will learn several basic breath work skills to promote relaxation and will experience a soothing guided imagery practice that takes you on a journey through your senses. You will also be provided with instructional handouts of the skills to utilize after the workshop.
Open to clients, caregivers and bereaved members. Free program with optional donations accepted at registration. This program will meet on zoom.
Renée LaFountain is a licensed mental health clinician (LMHC) with a passion for helping people to access their innate healing capacity through a mind/body/spirit approach. Using mind/body techniques, such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT – tapping), mindfulness, guided imagery, and meditation, alongside traditional talk therapy, she assists clients in using their strengths to increase wellness and to feel more empowered in their lives. Renée provides a safe space that enables clients to express themselves authentically, understand themselves more fully, and heal more deeply.
Currently, Renée works in a group private practice, Blue Square Counseling & Wellness, working with adults struggling with anxiety, trauma and grief. In her free time, Renée enjoys spending time in nature, drumming, reading, and snuggling with her cat, Bagheera
