Nature’s interconnectedness and metaphor provide creative inspiration and insight. Our day will consist of letting nature’s inspiration guide us in a creative collage project as well as sharing some nature-inspired storytelling and optional haiku writing. For the collage project, we’ll work with watercolor, torn papers, and other materials. Participants will be invited to share stories or just enjoy listening. A healthful and tasty lunch will be served and after lunch, we will let nature inspire us in some haiku writing and conclude with a Shinrin-Yoku-inspired tea ceremony. No art experience or other experience is needed. Instruction and all materials will be provided for the whole workshop. We’ll be outside on the patio behind the Healing Garden if the weather is comfortable and/or inside some of the time as well.
